Apartment Review for Avalon At Pacific Bay - Huntington Beach, CA

It is a great looking place and it has a washer/dryer. Thats about all I can say thats good about this place. The staff has no clue what they are doing. They are nice, but a deaf/mute, three legged dog could run this place better than they do. My garage broke and it took them 7 months to fix it even with me asking them what was going on with it constantly. What were they doing, building me a new one? The water is the biggest problem. Our water is bipolar; it is blistering hot for a second then it's ice cold. I have to play hopscotch with my bath tube. Most of the time we don't even get hot water, so we have to wait and hope that sometime it will work. To sum up the water deal, you know you have the worst water on earth when one person takes a shower and the other person flushes the toilet to get luke warm water to come out...and you have to pay $80 a month for it! For that price I better have Arrowhead water coming out. Every time they do come and try to fix it all they do is put a new knob on. They've done this four times already. I'm not a plumber, but I'm guessing the knob isn't the problem. Then they told us that they ordered parts for it. We went back a week later and they said that we misunderstood and that they thought everything was fixed. WTF? Anyone have a speak & spell for Avalon? Including all the utilities, for a two bedroom it costs a little more than $1800 which is outrageous. By the way, they are increasing the rent price too...again. The walls are painted with what appears to be whiteout. If you even brush up next to them they get black marks. The carpet and tile get black marks on them as soon as you walk on it. Plus, they charge you an arm and a leg to clean the apartment after you move out, no matter how long you lived there. Kiss your deposit and extra money on top of that goodbye. DON'T LIVE HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
