Apartment Review
Poor Management, Lack of Parking and Home To The H
Review Date: 6/24/2006 Reviewer: Anonymous
I have lived here for 5 months now and can't wait to leave. This place is not safe and there are bums that are allowed to live in the various laundry rooms. I have informed the managment of the bums and the management refuses to do anything about it. Talk about being scared out of your skin. Try going out at night to do your laundry and going into the laundry room to find some foul smelling guy curled up in a ball sleeping on the laundry room floor! Oh, don't forget that the lights are still out in the laundry room after being reported to the managment weeks ago. This place is not patrolled by any security service, does not have good lighting, and is not low on crime. I certainly do not feel safe. There is not plenty of parking for my husband and I. We are only allowed 1 assigned parking space and the remainder of the parking is taken up by cars on blocks, cars for sale and abandoned cars that remain in one place for months on end. We have reported the cars to the management and their reply is that they cannot do anything about it. During the past 5 months when I have worked the late shift at the hospital, I have had ended up just leaving my car at the hospital and having my husband pick me up - 9 times! What kind of crap is that? If management would just tow all the vehicles that are abandoned or stored here there might be enough parking for the people who pay the rent here! And during the past 5 months we have come home to find that our assigned parking space was occupied by other cars, so we could not find paking in the whole complex! We have had to wait in our car for 45 minutes to an hour, desperately hoping that someone would leave so that we could park. And then the management refused to tow the vehicles that were parked in our assigned space - the exact space that we pay for! Our apartment has a terrible mold problem that we did not notice before we moved in. So bad that we have just closed up the second bedroom and have moved all of our stuff out of it. The management has been informed, and we even provided pictures. Their response,"We can't do anything about it. That is what happens when you live so close to the beach." I have lived in Huntington Beach for the past 18 years and have never had this problem before! And even if it is "natural", the managment should at least do something about it! Do not live here. It is not worth your money, health, safety or time. |
