Apartment Review for Casa Del Sol Apartments - Huntington Beach, CA

I have lived here for almost a year now and recently got a notice that my lease is expiring and if I want to continue to live here, my lease is going up $90 a month. I currently pay a whopping $1585 and they want to increase my rent! Are they crazy? For what? Let's see, their management has always been rude, condensing and never timely when I reported the bugs or plumbing problems, so it can't be for outstanding customer service. It certainly is not for ample parking - I have ONE car and am supposed to have an assigned parking space. I have come home a few times to have found someone else parked in my space. When I report it to the management, they have refused to do anything about it! I pay for that spot! And parking around here is horrible. Don't come home any later than 4:30 or you will not find a space. It is certainly not for security - I have gone into the laundry room to find homeless people sleeping in there! Talk about a sudden surprise! And even though the management likes to tout that they are "close to the beach", don't believe them. This place is 1.1 miles from the beach. Recently I have found two TOWNHOUSES for rent that are .5 miles and .3 miles from the beach. One is for $1500 per month and the landlord pays the gas bill, the other is $1525 per month. Definitely do not rent here. It is too expensive, you can find better things for cheaper and save your money.
