Apartment Review
Don't move here, it's horrible!
Review Date: 9/11/2009 Reviewer: Anonymous
The reviews below were written by the staff at the breakers. I don't reccomend this place. I have been here for a year, and am glad to be out of my lease. The grounds are nice, and the staff is friendly when they're trying to get you to move in but after that it's a nightmare. Once you move in and talk to the neighbors about the rent, you realize they will take you for all they can. (The prices downtown are cheaper for much nicer places). They use all kinds of tactics to rip you off. The construction is shotty. I can hear my neibors walking around their apartment. There is a huge theft problem. (both my roommate, myself, and MANY of our neighbos have had our locked bikes stolen). Cars are continually broken into. The on site security guards just walk around talking on their cells. The worst is the office staff. Once you live there, they don't care. They are rude and condescending. It takes them months to get anything taken care of (literally MONTHS!). The parking is a problem b/c for every apt (even 2 bedroom) you only get one spot. So for those with 2 or three tenants, it's a scramble to see who has to park across the street. The gate is a problem too. you can't get out from the inside unless you have a clicker, or somebody else is going through at the same time. I have seen MANY MANY people (usually guests - but sometimes residents) stuck inside all night. I have been late for work myself b/c the gate openers you have to pay a $25.00 deposit for are all but broken. The laundry is a money trap too. you have to buy an empty laundry card for $5. THEN you have to put money on it. These cards aren't very good quality so they'll stop working or get scratched and you lose the $20 you just put on it. then have to buy another empty card. Please consider this when moving in! |
