Apartment Review for Huntington Villas - Huntington Beach, CA

The parking situation is REALLY INCONVIENT and ILOGICAL. There are ALWAYS empty parking spaces, yet, management does NOT allow guest parking. Which in my case really sucked because we lived towards the back and whenever we had people over, they had to park on the street and walk about mile to get to the appt or I had to drive through 20 speed bumps to pick and drop them up. Over the past two or three months, I've noticed a lot of POLICE activity (at least once every other week) in the complex. I overheard a police officer talking to a suspect about STEALING. Another time the cops were wrestling with three minors. Oh, and from time to time it's not surprising to see shattered car glass on the parking lot. The aspect I found most irritating about our Huntington Villas experience was the management. Holly Guacamole! I've never dealt with more incompetent, lazy, nagging, unreasonable, unprofessional and "UNRESPONSIVE" management in my whole life. A few examples: 1 - THEY DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE. I've heard one of them saying "I'm not taking that phone call right now" (more than three times while I was wating for the manager) while she was doing NOTHING, and the other one was on the phone for at least 20 minutes looking for a roomate. 2 - THE MANAGER IS NEVER THERE. I've waited for her once, more than an hour, and when she finally showed up, she didn't care about my issue, promised me she'll call me back fist thing the morning after, which she NEVER did. When I called again to get my issue solved, SHE WASN'T THERE, and SHE HAS NOT BEEN THERE. I think one of the other girls told me she has another property to manage. (Which partialy explains why mgmt sucks) 3 - WHEN YOU ARE READY TO LEAVE (shortly after arrival) THEY'LL TRY TO GET AS MUCH MONEY FROM YOU AS YOU LET THEM. By suddendly increasing the rent $200 dollars (without a logical explanation) on top of the $200 dollars extra if you're in a month to month lease. Be warned and learn from my experience. If you don't believe what you read, please take a walk in the complex on the afternoon and talk to some of the people who live there for more than 4 months (Try not to step on the dog crap).
