Apartment Review for Huntington Villas - Huntington Beach, CA

ive been here almost 6 months now. im reading all these other reviews, and im confused because im not really experiencing any of that. sure, there are your downfalls like everywhere else, but nothing like what these people are saying. when i moved in, i read this site, and i was kinda scared cuz this seemed to be a crap neighborhood according to existing reviews...not the case at all...seems the neighborhood has made a huge turnaround in the last few years....so here you go...

THE GOOD: ~its an AWESOME location. Right on Beach Blvd, right next to the freeway, and everything you need is on Beach. I've never had to drive more than a couple blocks to get to anything [grocery store, restaurants, drs, etc] ~The apartments are nice. its a good price for what you get. the neighborhood itself is pretty, with paths that wind through all of the complexes through the trees, etc. all of our neighbors are nice, people don't mind if you party, BUT its NEVER overly loud, and when it is, its because of Kids playing, not People Partying. I saw this on a couple of the other reviews, and I must say, I have yet to experience that myself. It seems to actually be a fairly quiet neigborhood. ~Its safe. The one time i saw cops here, there were like 4 cop cars...to catch a TAGGER...so imagine what they would do if it was a real crime...

THE BAD: ~parking sux - you get 2 parking stickers to each apt, one for a garage, one for general parking. they are different colors, so garage people cant park in general. an extra parking pass is $30/month. also, there is NO Visitor parking, so friends have to park in the front of the neighborhood then walk back. ive seen them tow on quite a few occasions, but it seems they only really start towing when the parking lots get full, which is rare. ~they can be a little slow getting to things - example, some kids TPd the tree outside of our unit on holloween...they didnt pull the TP outta the tree for a couple weeks. BUT, when i went to the office and told them, they had someone there within 5 minutes. ~The Automatic Gate to the Complex is NEVER closed. it seems to not function properly, and just kinda stays open all day, so anyone can drive into the neighborhood. they seem to fix it once every few months, and it works for a couple days, then back to being broke. ~There are a million billion speedbumps inthe neighborhood. im talkin speedbumps every 30 feet, all the way around.

ANyways, hope I could help...for me, I love this apartment complex...i plan on living here for awhile. and i say, who cares if there is a bad thing here or there...NO apartment complex is perfect.
