Apartment Review for Huntington Villas - Huntington Beach, CA

The Huntington Villas is probably the WORST place I've ever lived at in my life! It's very nice when you first see it (from the front) and the $1,000 off your first month's rent is what sold me. Should have known there was a catch! They charge you an arm and a leg for a closet. I say that because the rooms are so small you can hardly fit the basic furniture inside. I had to rent a storage unit because I couldn't fit half of my stuff in the place. I'm like one of the very few with a 2 bdrm apartment with NO PATIO. I found out that I pay the same as people that do have patios! I guess that's why they gave me that $1,000 off. Not enough windows, mold in the bathrooms that they just paint over so you don't see it, cheap cabinets that peel away at the corners and walls as thin as tissue paper. Watch out if you live downstairs...you'll feel like you're in the movie Jumanji with the stampede going on every single day! The kids upstairs like to jump off their beds and body slam each other all day and the parents do nothing about it. Parking is an absolute joke and a half. If you have a 2bdrm you get one space and the other person is screwed. The gate is never working so any looser with 4 wheels can drive in and park inside. You'll see tons of "Parking by permit only. Violaters will be towed" signs but it's only for decoration because when you call the tow company they will not come out unless management calls them. Normally it's after 5pm when this happens so management is gone and there's nothing you can do about it so you have to park 2 blocks away and hike about 2 miles to your apartment. Real fun. "Children of the Corn" living here running wild and terrorizing your pets by barking at them and chasing them. They ride their bikes so fast on the pathways and almost run you over. When you tell them to slow down they just ignore you or laugh at you. Where are the parents??? Right now they're re-doing the second pool...what moron thought this was a good time to do it? Hello!?!? It's May!!!! It's not THAT hot right now!!! Idiots! There's no A/C and like I said before, only 3 windows that are along one side of your apartment so no air can circulate. You'll fry in the summertime so if you don't mind living in a sauna then cool. The people that live here are jerks and no one gives a crap about anyone but themselves. All you hear is fighting and yelling and partying. If you like throwing your money away to live in a shoebox apartment that's hotter than hell with horrible people and no parking then move here.
