Apartment Review for Huntington Villas - Huntington Beach, CA

The Huntington villas may be hazardous to your health, physically and mentally. I will provide key facts as to why living in the villas will cause deterioration of your mind and body. The physical health hazards include but are not limited to the following: lead paint, asbestos ceilings, toxic mold and old appliances recalled due to fire hazards. The pools and hot tubes could have harmful bacteria due to lack of cleaning and maintance of proper PH levels. In addition, the infestation of silverfish, cockroaches, weevils and black widow spiders are bad roommates (they never pay rent and ruin your clothes). All of these conditions could pose a risk to your health. There is a warning sign posted at the front gate, warning people of the dangers lurking behind those doors. The mental heath risks include the lack of sleep you are receiving due to the methamphetamine users who live above you, in front of you and to the side of you. When their tweaking you’re tweaking too, because you are not going to get any sleep for the next 3-10 days. Loud music thumping through those lead-paint walls all night also cause a sleeping problem. However, if that’s not enough you have the domestic violence couples fighting for hours. Here is some Advice; if the cops are mediating your relationship, I think it’s time to get out of the relationship. On top of all that, you’ll have dogs barking all day and night, the noise just never ends. I have good news, you only have to pay $ 1450 a month and all of these amenities are included in the price. Yes, surprise rent goes up randomly so you never know how much you will pay… but hey, it is worth the price when you get so many of the above amenities mentioned. Do not take my word for it, go on down to the villas and see for yourself. Take my advice, read the Warning signs there posted for a reason. One last piece of advice, when you are moving out the stress does not end; management will try anything to get more money from you. When they pro-rated the rent they tried to take an extra $250.00. However, unbeknownst to them some people have math skills… ops, better luck next time. Take inventory of the place before you move in and out and have the inspector sign them. The Huntington Villas do not play fair or legally. Lets face it sometimes we don’t always make the best judgments for ourselves, living there does not have to be included in that judgment.
